INTRODUCTION TO COMMUNICATION SKILLS FOR ASTROLOGERS
Register at firstname.lastname@example.org
NCGR has developed a five week curriculum for anyone interested in developing their consulting and communication skills. While astrological techniques matter, the quality of the interaction between two people is also very important and the key to whether or not a person will feel helped and/or empowered by their consultation with you. In essence, how the astrologer communicates the information is equally as important as the astrology itself.
Many people have expressed the difficulties they often face when having to communicate to someone else what they consider to be a challenging aspect in the other person’s natal horoscope. Therefore, the NCGR is offering this course to the astrology community to give people a safe place where they can learn new techniques and practice their consulting and communication skills with other astrologers.
This FREE WEBINAR will introduce you to the curriculum itself as we explain why the NCGR felt it was important to develop this course. Here is what we are going to be covering over a five week period of time:
- Connecting to the Client through Empathy, Listening and Observing
- Developing basic communication skills such as Active Listening/Focused Attention, Reframing and Paraphrasing
- The Astrology: Analyzing the horoscope and interpreting and communicating the transits and progressions in a way that facilitates a healing dialogue
- Practice: In a safe environment, students will be able to practice their communication skills with one another through role playing and exploring constructive ways of communicating a challenging aspect to the client.
- The Astrologer: Referring to the archetype of Chiron, we will explore why people enter a helping profession and why a certain level of self-understanding is essential for becoming an effective practitioner
For the FREE webinar, all registrations must be received by midnight on August 7th. If you’re unable to attend the webinar after registering for it please inform the Executive Secretary so your place can be given to someone on the waiting list. “I actually changed my flight and hotel reservation to attend this workshop. It was the best decision I could have made. It was an entire day of every question I ever had concerning cybertools for astrologers. The instructors covered everything from webinars to social media to Google Suite;it was beyond amazing. I feel like I received a week of seminars in one day. On a one to ten scale, it’s a 12! Thank you NCGR for an incredible and unforgettable day!”
– Joy Lerner
“I seemed to be the only person I knew who didn’t “get” Google Docs. The Cybertools Workshop was just what I needed! It answered my “dumb” questions with helpfulness and compassion. And I discovered that part of my confusion was that I had a Google Docs folder for each of three gmail accounts I have. Who knew? Not me, until the Cybertools Workshop pros enlightened me. Bring your computer and play along in real time.”
– Susan Abbott Gidel
“…I had no idea there were so many tools out there up for grabs – and free of charge. A winning combination if I ever saw one. ”
– Henrik Bisbo
