A revival of NCGR Journal after several years of non-publication, this issue,
published in the summer of 1984, appeared in a new glossy cover 8-1/2 X 11
format, with a free-styled painting of a phoenix on its cover. Articles by
Barry Lynes, Jim Lewis, Charles Emerson, Buryl Payne and Michael Erlewine
addressed the ongoing and never resolved debate on which is the "right" chart
for the USA. The issue also had a navamsa wheel and a 360° dial that could be
cut out and used, graphic ephemeredes and mundane charts for the year, a special
center section containing the entire NCGR Education Curriculum Guide for Levels
1 and 2, and it introduced the Challenge! Feature by Charles Hannon that would
carry through in subsequent issues, presenting an astrological problem to solve
in one and featuring the best answers from readers in the next. Click here to view a PDF of the complete table of contents.
