Donna Woodwell is the founding president
of the Astrological Society of Austin, NCGR's Austin Chapter, and the
founding coordinator of Meta-Astrology, Mensa's Astrology Special
Interest Group. She offers a unique perspective and expertise
as a consulting astrologer and metaphysician, who is also an
experienced non-profit organizer.
With a
Sag stellium on her Ascendant and a Virgo stellium in the 9th house,
it’s no surprise that from an early age Donna sought ways to
expand her horizons and be of service to the community. She holds a
bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan in
Communication and two master’s degrees from the University of
Texas, one in Journalism and one in Latin American Studies.
Over
the past 15 years, Donna has used her communication skills to assist
philanthropic organizations with missions ranging from human rights to
health care. She trains nonprofit boards and staff in fundraising,
marketing, event-planning, computer database management and outcomes
measurement.
Donna has received metaphysical
training in Western, Eastern and indigenous philosophies. She is an
Initiate of the Australian branch of The Hermetic Order of the
Brotherhood of Light, and a student of Australian psychic and
parapsychologist Leonora. She has studied Earth-based, indigenous
spirituality with international author and eco-feminist Eileen
"ike” West. An Usui Reiki Master, Donna also
practices yoga, tai chi and meditation.
Donna lives
with her husband and daughter in Austin, Texas. She is the owner of
Four Moons Astrology consulting practice.
