As an astrologer with over 30 years experience, Misty developed the “goal-centered” astrology technique where astrological cycles in one’s life or business are used to achieve specific goals of success. The philosophy of goal-centered astrology is that each person is responsible for her or his own success. At the same time, this philosophy acknowledges that life is a series of cycles that may be repeated until lessons are learned and the cycles become spirals that are used as springboards for success. Misty’s philosophy comes from her experience as an astrologer, a Coptic minister, and a Reiki Master. Misty lectures internationally and has appeared on numerous television and radio programs and in newspaper publications in the United States, India, Philippines, and the Middle East. She is the Co-Founder and Co-Director of the Midwest Astrology Conference, past President of NCGR-Annapolis and the Astrological Association of Northern Virginia, and a Certified Astrological Professional – ISAR. She writes the astrological column for Pathways magazine and a monthly column on how astrological cycles impact people personally on her website, www.enhanceoneself.com. She has also written for the NCGR Memberletter, ISAR’s International Astrologer magazine, and OPA’s Career Astrologer magazine. She publishes an annual book, Trend Analysis for the Year, and authored two other publications: Solutions, an instructional text on how to use the Tarot cards for meditation, and Time on Task, a time management book for educators. She has lectured at the World Predictions Conference (Mumbai, India), several American Federation of Astrologers (AFA) international conferences, Coptic Fellowship International conferences, NCGR International Conference, Arlington Metaphysical Chapel, and at local astrological and spiritual organizations. Misty is on the faculty of Alphee Lavoie’s Online Astrology School and also teaches classes in Virginia. In addition to teaching astrology, Misty also teaches Reiki classes and spiritual development classes. Many of these lectures and classes are available on tape, CD, and MP3 for home study. |
